For over a hundred years people in-the-know have trekked, hiked, driven and sometimes even navigated into Lochau in order to sample our unique hazelnut-caramel topping, which we call Hazelnut-Caramel Praline. Fresh ground hazelnuts—very healthy!—are tenderly roasted and mixed in with a caramel base!…Like everything at Messmer the recipe is deceptively simple and the result remarkably fresh: the dried crystal topping in fact makes you think of ground up precious gems! A lot! Unlike all the fake sprinkles and artificially flavored toppings that negatively affect your health, everything in the Hazelnut-Caramel Praline is all natural. We’ve tested the recipe on some of the most discriminating European palates and we think that we’ve developed the perfect mix of ingredients!
